I was blessed to be honored with the Miami New Times 2019 Best Comedian accolade. This is dope because I’m not from Miami and I’ve only been doing comedy here for a year. I didn’t even know this was a thing that could be won. I just received a notification from Manny Garavito on Facebook that I had won. Miami is a dope place to do comedy because it’s unique. Any other place that I have ever performed comedy, I could pretty much gauge what type of crowd it will be. But Miami being so diverse, you never know what gender, race, ethnicity, age, or background you may have to stand in front of on any given night! Miami isn’t a popular place to do comedy amongst most comedians opinions, but that makes this award even more special. I was able to rise to the occasion and literally go to war every night with my comedy brothers and sisters as we fight against the tough crowds of Miami. Also know as crowds that “DO NOT CARE”!!!
On January 26, 2019 I had the pleasure of meeting Radio Big Mack who is most known as a radio dj personality on 99 Jamz in Miami, FL as well as one of the cast members of MTV’s “Wild N Out”. He attended the Khaotic Comedy Slam, produced by Organized Khaos, in which I was on the line up with other major hitters in the Miami comedy scene. This show was SOLD OUT and the audience was electrifying. Shout out to O’Malleys Bar for being such a great venue and host for this legendary show.
January 12, 2019 I had the great pleasure of competing in and winning the Backstage Comedy Competition. This show was full up top tier comedians from all over south Florida. Hosted by the talented and hilarious Ramon Garcia, this was an amazing show with an amazing audience. Due to winning this competition, I will be featuring at BACKSTAGE for headliner Ramon Garcia on Saturday 1/19/19 @ 8pm. Congrats to all the other hilarious comedians that were apart of this wonderful competition. Special thanks to James Patterson for all your help during the show!
January 5, 2019 I took first place in the Spill The Beans comedy competition. I competed against some of central and south Florida’s top comedians. Produced by Fasil Malik and hosted by Brendan Jay, this show had an amazing flow and fair judging. The show sold out that night and the audience was electrifying! It was an honor to be apart of such a great contest and to have had the opportunity to meet and compete against such worthy opponents. Special thanks to the judges Fasil Malik, Cindy-Ann Boisson, & Toni Powers. Also, congratulations to Jackie Sanchez and Todd Stimmell!
On January 6, 2019 I had the pleasure of being a special guests on Miami's Hot 105.1 radio station. The segment was entitled "Hot Talk" with Jill Tracey, host. Jill was an amazing host who allowed myself as well as the other comics on air to be ourselves and have a fun interview. She spoke to me directly about how my comedy career got started, as well as upcoming events.
